Due to our success, we are seeking an Oracle DBA that will be responsible for:
Configuration of Oracle database hardware and software so that it functions optimally with the DBMS.
Monitoring and administering DBMS security.
Analyzing data stored in the database and making recommendations relating to performance and efficiency of that data storage.
Helping application programmers to efficiently utilize the database by assisting in database schema design and recommending the best design for scalability and performance.
Performing data analysis to optimize the system layout to take the most advantage of the I/O subsystem.
Proactively monitor systems for optimum performance and capacity constraints.
Establishing standards and best practices for database backup and recovery.
Qualifications
5+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
Experience with Oracle RDBMS running on Linux.
Strong experience supporting mission critical relational databases.
Considerable experience and knowledge of an Oracle 10g database. for an OLTP application in areas such as best practices, scalability, performance, and reliability.
Experience with Oracle performance tuning.
Skilled in scripting and automating repetitive administrative tasks.
Good understanding of Oracle RAC.
Experience with backup, recovery, and DR best practices.
Experience in defining/analyzing ERDs, data models, and optimizations in database DDL.
Works well with software developers in the development of SQL DDL and DML.
