GHX - Technical Writer

We are currently recruiting a Technical Writer for a 2-3 month contract engagement to provide technical documentation, writing, and UPK development. This position provides both documentation and training writing services to support the implementation of end user products. The position includes the development of documentation and training materials, especially e-learning modules for the company's proprietary software applications (non-Oracle products) using Oracle’s User Productivity Kit (UPK) tool. Candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and Education Programs team members to understand and create deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interview key team personnel to gather technical content
Develop e-Learning modules using UPK
Develop technical documentation
Gather feedback and conduct document testing to ensure accuracy

Skills and Experience Required
4-year degree and at least 3 years related experience
1-2 years experience with Oracle’s User Productivity Kit (UPK) Developer/OnDemand (version 3.5.1 preferred)
2 years experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training development, and asynchronous learning content
Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
Customer-driven attitude and demeanor
Ability to quickly synthesize new technology and present it in a simple, meaningful manner
Strong organizational and project management skills
Able to work in a team environment with all levels of associates
Proficient in standard Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Some knowledge of instructional theory, technical writing and adult learning principles through coursework
E-Commerce or Web-based application experience
Proficiency and knowledge of working with various types of systems and system interfaces
Healthcare industry, supply or purchasing experience preferred but not required
