Directs a team a team that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Crickets' Oracle Applications ERP systems and related infrastructure. Team Management: Coordinates work activities for supervisors/team leads and/or system administrators and analysts Sets priority of work queue and resolves conflicts. Prepares yearly and quarterly performance appraisals. Coaches and develops team members; hiring, performance assessment, career development, salary/bonus administration, and all other areas of administrative management. Ensures team compliance with all company policies. Provides quarterly review of staffing levels and team dynamics to ensure alignment with overall company goals. Data Center Operations: Day-to-day operational responsibility for Crickets' Oracle ERP system currently located in San Diego, CA. Ensures that this business critical computer system is up and functioning as expected by the business. Manages to an overall uptime percentage of 99.9%. Ensures that proper levels of security are maintained at all times in order to protect company and customer data. Conducts regular audits to sample performance Infrastructure Planning and Engineering: Works with other departments within I.T. and the business to evaluate future system requirements and the potential for using Oracle Applications as a solution. Validates system design requirements obtained from various departments and vendors. Ensure that deployed technology is in alignment with the company's overall technology direction Engineers cost effective solutions together with internal customers to ensure proper capital utilization. Capital & Expense Budget Management: Formulates annual Capital and Expense budgets. Ensures proper utilization of capital. Manages expense budget on a monthly basis and reports performance to senior management. Continuously looks for cost improvement opportunities within the department's budgets. Negotiates price and performance standards with vendors. Policies and Procedures: Authors and maintains best practices for system deployment, security, data retention and recovery and system availability. Works with internal customers to ensure alignment of expectations around these topics. Ensures internal policies are in alignment with government regulatory, legal and industry requirements and standards. Establishes and updates procedures covering Infrastructure day-to-day operations, deployment, and disaster recovery. Required Qualifications Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Enterprise Operations Server and data center administration in a 24x7 environment Telecommunications industry Minimum of 8 years of I.T. operations management experience involving a complex, geographically diverse network. Must have ability and experience to manage Oracle Apps Analysts and Oracle Apps System Administrators at the senior level. Min 5 years managing multiple projects with an emphasis on timely and cost-effective delivery. Minimum of 5 years experience managing an Oracle Applications environment. Must have functional knowledge of many Oracle Applications modules such as, GL, AP, FA, PA, AR, PO and HR. Minimum of 7 years managing UNIX based computing environment.
