Description: The TriZetto Group is looking for an Application
Analyst to join our Hosting Services Research and Development group
in Greenwood Village, CO. The Application Analyst will primarily
work to design, develop, test and document the services TriZetto
offers (or will offer) to its hosting customers. This Service
Realization mindset will have a focus on delivering quality,
supportable and clearly defined solutions to TriZetto's Hosting
Product Management, Implementation and Support Operations groups.
The Application Analyst position will be a hybrid position. It will
require the candidate to work with the technical team to merge the
business based function of TriZetto solutions with the technical
components to create a meaningful, usable, solution manual. The
Application Analyst will have to work within established quality
assurance standards within the QA organization, assemble Test Cases
in the support of business cases (Use Cases), document and track
issues, provide regular status reports, develop, write and edit a
variety of documents including user guides, technical reference
manuals, design documents, online help and other related materials
as required.

Candidates for this position should posses a general understanding
of application architecture, IT infrastructure, product
technologies, the development lifecycle and toolsets/utilities. They
must be able to manage multiple concurrent assignments to meet
established deadlines. The ideal candidate will be someone who is
looking to utilize their skills and experience in the multiple
industry disciplines (i.e. application, IT, QA, development,
documentation, healthcare) to develop and document proven end to end
services for Hosted customers – merging a product with an
operationalized service. Candidates must be self driven and able to
work independently but yet be a team player who can contribute to
improving processes while adhering to corporate standards.

Reporting to: Service Realization Business Lead/Manager

Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop and document future hosted service offers
- Point of contact with developers and tech teams on determining
nature of software/solution related issues
- Work with tech teams to troubleshoot root cause of issues and
outline solutions
- Identify problem resolutions, create action plans and implement
plans
- Own and drive tasks and related issues to closure
- Provide status to external users and internal staff on a timely
basis
- Drive projects to completion within time and budget
- Provide service development expertise across multiple products and
environments for the Hosted services
- Resolve issues, determine business requirements, and define
technical specifications
- Point of contact and development of positive relationships with
other teams and with clients
- QA on specifications & design docs
- Creation of function Test Plans
- Creation of Test Cases
- Execution of Test Cases
- Work with defect tracking system
- Perform positive and negative testing

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- 2+ years application design experience within the service provider
industry
- 5+ years application design experience
- Strong technical aptitude, data analysis skills and problem
solving skills
- Strong MS office skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Understanding of the principles and use of the application
development lifecycle
- Strong understanding of project management concepts
- Strong tester mentality, can think "outside the box"
- Demonstrated ability to perform and deliver under deadline
pressure
- Proven capability with challenging interactions involving internal
and/or external customers (design reviews, customer concerns, etc.)
- Proven effectiveness in working cross teams/discipline (interact
with developers)
- Ability to work independently and be self driven
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Must be able to multitask between several projects simultaneously
and be able to prioritize
- Ability to cope with a fast-paced and constantly changing
environment
Preferred:
- Experience with database administration and system administration
preferred
- Experience with help authoring and desktop publishing tools, such
as RoboHelp, FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat.

- Work with Windows and UNIX operating systems as well as other
operating systems
- Manage VMWare, application, MetaFrame, WebSphere, and DBMS Servers
internally for TriZetto and its clients
- Install and manage TriZetto and 3rd Party software products for
TriZetto and its clients
- Troubleshoots, installs, and maintains operating system software
and related hardware devices
- Monitors system performance and makes adjustments
- Formulates sound business solutions and define requirements for

management, benchmarking initiatives, code reviews, advanced problem

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree, certification in the above products preferred
- 5+ years Healthcare IT or with a large service provider
- Experience with TriZetto and 3rd Party software products
- Experience with MS BackOffice products, Java and web-based
technologies, scripting and technical infrastructure: networking,
storage and servers, as well as DBMS products such as Sybase, Oracle
and MSSQL
- Working knowledge of WAN, LAN, Windows 2000/2003 Servers and
VMWare administration
- Troubleshooting including hardware and software components in
Windows/UNIX environment, TCP/IP
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

The Manager of Hosting Product Management is responsible for several
product lines of Hosting Services offerings. The position requires a
deep understanding of end-to-end application outsourcing in order to
effectively roadmap capabilities into future Hosting Service
offering releases. Within TriZetto Hosting Services, Service
Realization is the process used to identify and develop new Hosting
service offerings and capabilities. The Manager of Hosting Product
Management will be responsible for managing the Service Realization
efforts relevant to their product lines and those of his/her direct
reports. This position reports to the Director of Product
Management, Hosting Services.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Responsible for product lines of several Hosting service offerings
including revenue/profit accountability and product roadmaps.
• Management position with 1-3 Product Manager direct reports.
Responsible for employee development, the success of employee
service offerings and coaching employees through their Service
Realization efforts.
• Responsible for the overall release strategy and enhancement
packaging of Hosting service offerings. This position will hold
primary responsibility for working with the Hosting product
development teams to determine which capabilities to package in
future hosting service releases and offerings.
• Relevent to the service offerings for which he/she is responsible,
the Manager of Hosting Product Management will oversee the execution
of the Service Realization process to ensure that all
investments/projects are effectively evaluated and passing
established gate criteria through the development lifecycle. This
requires end-to-end product management including idea capture,
portfolio planning, concept feasibility, service definition, service
testing, and service launch phases.
• Assist with the development of the Service Realization process,
policy, tools and standards to increase the quality of Service
Realization outcomes and promote organizational adoption of the
Service Realization process. Provide advice or recommendations to
improve Service Realization methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Continuously monitor, track, update and report various Service
Realization metrics to help Hosting Services management measure
progress toward established goals and objectives. Provide data
analysis and reporting to ensure Service Realization constituents
are adequately informed with accurate information to make timely
project decisions. Support adoption and compliance with the Service
Realization process.
• Occasionally provide Sales direct support for sales transactions
involving Hosting services, especially regarding the product lines
for which the position is directly responsible.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience, with strong preference
for Service Provider industries
- 3+ years of application hosting experience (ASP, SaaS, or other
general IT Service Provider experience)
- Prefer previous experience with project financial modeling
including concepts like IRR, NPV, budgeting, critical path
constraints, and portfolio planning
- Requires previous experience in Product Development roles or in
roles that coordinate heavily with Product Development. Strong
preference is the candidate has past experience performing Service
Realization.
- Prefer experience in healthcare industry, particularly the payer
market
- Prefer project management experience with enterprise software or
other large technology projects (software, hardware, or IT
