Summary
Market Force Information is an industry leader in Mystery Shopping
research services and customer experience measurement company, focusing
on multi-location businesses in restaurant, retail, grocery, oil/gas,
and financial industries.
Market Force Information is seeking an experienced Senior Software
Developer for our Boulder headquarters. The Senior Software Developer
will develop systems and applications in support of the Company's
business initiatives. This is a key role that requires solid technical
skills, business acumen, attention to detail, and leadership ability.
Demonstrated experience developing business intelligence and reporting
solutions using SAP Business Objects and business intelligence/data
warehouse data modeling are must-haves. Strong project management
skills are essential with the ability to interface at the executive
level within the company and with our clients. Service oriented
architecture design and development experience is also a plus. This
position reports to the Director, Production Support & Software
Development.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work closely with Marketing/Product Management in the design,
development, and delivery of software products that address client
requirements and meet internal quality standards, budgets, and
time-lines.
* Design and develop customer facing Business Object universes and
reporting solutions, including the underlying data structures. These
solutions will be designed with an emphasis on performance,
scalability,
high-reliability and maintainability.
* Design, build, and maintain internal and customer facing
applications including but not limited to customer and user facing web
portals/interfaces, server software supporting multi-threaded messaging
technologies in a service oriented architecture.
* Work closely with other Software Engineers, Network Architects,
Consulting Contractors, Database Administrators and Technical Writers
to
successfully create and maintain other applications with an emphasis on
performance, scalability, high-reliability and maintainability.
* Successfully interact with QA team to correct product defects
and assist QA engineers in the testing
* Contribute to decisions that ensure that product offerings
remain competitive and continue to be viewed as world class.
* Promote and reinforce a customer-driven philosophy within IT
department.
* Analyze the performance of software applications and identify
alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources.
* Apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to
assure efficient program logic and data manipulation.
* Maintain high-volume, multi-threaded messaging, redundant and
scalable application design, and SOA methodologies.

Required Qualifications:
* BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* 5+ years experience in full life-cycle software development.
* Demonstrated experience with SAP Business Objects XI including
universe design and development and report design and creation.
* Expert in both functional and physical data modeling for
transactional and data warehousing/reporting solutions.
* Strong understanding and development experience with RDBMS
technology and interfacing with Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008
including Transact-SQL.
* Experience developing and deploying client/server applications
* Experience with version control and release management is
required
* Passion for delivering high quality products.
* Driven to achieve a high level of client and customer
satisfaction.
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in object-oriented programming and
design, as well as skills in: .NET Framework Class Libraries, C#
language, ASP.NET, ASP, and T-SQL/Stored Procedures.
* 3+ years IIS experience.
* 3+ years HTML 4.0+, CSS and JavaScript experience.
* Experience with highly available production environments
preferred. Strong understanding and development experience with common
delivery protocols including HTTP, SSL, SMTP, UDP, TCP/IP.
* Strong understanding and development experience with web
technologies including IIS, .NET C#, J2EE(JSP, Servlets, JMS), XML,
SOAP,.
