We are currently seeking a contractor to assist with desktop support
and
helpdesk support. Length of assignment will be: approximately 30 - 60
days.





Position Summary:

Provide phone and desktop support to users in the areas of e-mail,
network, standard Windows desktop applications, commercial and custom
applications. Also serves as the initial point of contact for
troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer problems.



Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide PC, software and telecom technical support to users

* Deploy, maintain and support desktop computers, telephones,
PDAs and other electronic equipment

* Perform user account management, system backup management,
system monitoring and other administrative tasks

* Assist senior IT staff with server and network configuration,
administration and monitoring

* Create and maintain departmental forms and paperwork dealing
with account security and asset information

* Utilizes Track IT! Help Desk system to manage all work orders
and projects related to individual tasks

* Revises current documentation and assist in company wide
system rollouts





Qualifications:


* Minimum of 3 -5 years experience in supporting Windows
server-based platforms with emphasis on domain administration and
Exchange.


* Desired certifications include but not limited to: A+
Certification, MCSE


* Knowledge/ Expertise of Windows based applications of basic
principles, theories, and concepts


* Knowledge/Expertise of Microsoft Active Directory domain
administration and support, including user/policy account creation,
permissions allocation, resolving complex replication and
authentication
issues, creating file and print shares.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Networking principles such as
DNS, WINS, DHCP.


* Knowledge/ Expertise of Third party software integration
within a server enterprise environment


* Knowledge/ Expertise in supporting and maintaining multiple
server hardware platforms.


* Knowledge/ Expertise in supporting and administering Exchange
2000/2003 and integration with Active Directory Services.


* Knowledge/Expertise of supporting enterprise backup
solutions,
including application administration and troubleshooting
hardware-related issues.


* Working knowledge of data storage platforms, such as
SCSI-attached devices, NAS devices, and Storage Area Networks.

* Very good interpersonal, writing, presentation skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and across
functional lines.

* Good project management skills.

* Knowledge/Expertise in supporting and working with Symantec
Ghost Console

* Knowledge/Expertise in creating images using Symantec Ghost
