Job Description: Systems Administrator
Responsibilities:
* Ensure operational aspects of technology infrastructure are
available, are working, and are responsive.
* Provide maintenance plans, support, and enhancements to
ongoing operational aspects of company's technology infrastructure.
* Accountable for the implementation operational processes,
functional completeness, and delivery of performance ensuring
supportability, scalability, and testability goals.
* Work directly with the core engineering team from
identification of infrastructure to maintain, to troubleshooting of it.
* Responsible for ensuring operation duties like backups, log
verifications, and such are performed on a daily basis.
* Ensure the operational upkeep and maintenance of all servers
and desktops (Patches, Security Updates, Software Upgrades, Hardware
Upgrades, General Maintenance).
Requirements:
* 2+ years knowledge and experiencing using Microsoft
applications including Active Directory, Windows Server 2000 and 2003,
Exchange Server 2003, Internet Information Systems 6.0, and others, in
an enterprise type environment with more than 100+ people.
* 2+ years knowledge experience with various backup
applications
and creating and/or maintaining scheduling of backups, ensuring
completeness of them, and maintaining of them.
* General experience with defining operational processes to
track and monitor technology environments to ensure technology
components are working as expected.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, applied mathematics,
management information systems, computer information, or related field
is preferred. Equivalent experience is acceptable.
