Lead Developer
Description
Mondo Robot is looking for a technical lead/lead developer with strong web
technology and programming skills. The lead developer will plan and execute
development of small to medium sized websites which will often include a
full backend solution. An understanding of the Microsoft .NET platform is
necessary. Interfacing with clients and making recommendations regarding
technology decisions for the company will also be part of the role. An
understanding of web page layout and design is important. There will also be
opportunities to program for interactive media such as Adobe Flash,
Microsoft Silverlight, and video games or game-like technologies.
Mondo Robot is a fast-paced, growing company and flexibility will be

* You've developed and administered websites that require dynamic
content delivery from backend database systems
* You are well versed in the Microsoft .NET 1.1/2.0 development
environment and Visual Studio (including ASP.NET)
* You are comfortable programming in the C# programming language (as
well as other languages/platforms)
* You are an innovative and critical thinker that can come up to speed
on new technologies quickly
* You posses a demonstrable knowledge of Object Oriented Programming
concepts and techniques
* You employ professional documentation practices regarding source
files you work with or create
Responsibilities:
* Help design, develop, and implement software strategies based around
new and existing projects
* Help develop site architecture and layout, including the creation of
the web pages and master pages as necessary
* Develop client side and backend website functionality
* Help define and document use cases and site requirements as
necessary
* Assist the team in testing web applications through traditional QA
processes and if applicable system-level tests such as unit testing
* Maintain a professional level of coding and development standards as
directed by Mondo Robot, including commenting code and documentation
* Assist with development research, analysis, estimates, and
recommendations
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3-5 years in object-oriented application programming
and/or object-oriented web development
* Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
* Understanding of best coding practices, and Object Oriented
Programming
* Solid understanding of DHTML/XHTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET
(preferably C#, but VB.NET works too) and Microsoft Visual Studio and/or
Visual Web Developer Express
* Experience with database development including SQL statements and
stored procedures
Preferred Experience:
* Experience with Telligent's Community Server platform or experience
with similar community based technologies (Forums, Photo Galleries, Blogs,
etc.)
* User interface development / design experience
* Understanding of RSS
* Some level of graphic design skills in applications like Adobe
Photoshop
* Adobe Flash/ActionScript experience
* Microsoft Silverlight (WPF/E) experience
* Understanding of basic network infrastructure and network/server
operations is considered highly desirable
