Job description:
The Senior (Sr.) Customer Finance Services (CFS) Project Manager (PM)
will be a six to nine month contract position. The Sr. PM will act as
the main point of contact, within the CFS organization, for implementing,
testing, and deploying of an electronic bill presentment and payment
(EBPP) application. The Sr. PM will be responsible for collecting,
documenting and disseminating project requirements specific to financial and
billing operations and interfacing directly with IT development
project management and the vendor implementation team. Responsibilities
include, but not limited to: ** Coordinate and communicate across all
functional teams and stakeholders (e.g., Billing Operations, Collections,
Invoicing/Invoice Production, Dispute and Credit, Revenue and Financial
Assurance, Tax, Account Reporting, Account Payable, Architecture &
Engineering, Product Development/Product Delivery, Sales/Offer Management,
Marketing, Network Operations, Systems Architecture). ** Provide input to
program strategy and create tactical plans to deliver project roadmap.
** Translate internal and external customer needs into detailed
business requirements and coordinate requirement acceptance among project
stakeholders. ** Evaluate schedule and design of process and system
solutions to decide the most efficient and effective development path to
achieve business objectives. ** Identify necessary project scope and
schedule changes and coordinate change recommendations through steering
committee change control process. Required Knowledge or Skills: ** Excellent
working knowledge of telecom terminology and network topologies. **
Solid understanding of enterprise billing/financial environments.
Particularly Kenan and Oracle. ** Demonstrated experience in project
lifecycle. ** Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
** Proven problem solver. ** Must have excellent organizational skills.
** Experience in billing system support (BSS) development and
enhancement is essential. ** Experience in implementation and deployment of new
applications within an existing enterprise environment. Preferably,
within an existing billing/finance environment. ** Working knowledge of
data warehouse. ** Experience in coordinating and managing internal
system testing (ST)/internal acceptance testing (IAT). ** Experience in
coordinating and managing end-to-end user acceptance testing (UAT). **
Generate and track tickets for all defects discovered during ST/IAT/UAT and
maintain a defect log. ** The ability to perform multiple tasks of
varying difficulty which may requiring alternative analysis, innovations
and judgment. ** Dealing with changing priorities is essential. **
Assesses and follows up on stakeholder issues and ensures timely and
accurate resolution. ** Ability to collects sufficient information from the
project team to develop technical and procedural documentation.
Experience: ** Bachelor's Degree or higher ** PMP Certification or equivalent **
At least 10 years of project management experience with emphasis on
application/software deployment. ** High level understanding of telecom
billing in a wholesale and reseller environment. ** Two to five years
utilizing Rational Unified Process (RUP) ** Five or more years utilizing
MS Project ** Five or more years using MS Windows, Word, Excel, and
Visio ** Two to five years utilizing Primavera ** Five or more years
developing business processes
