RESPONSIBILITIES:
~ Evening Shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am (Monday -Friday)
~ The Swing and Night Application Support teams are responsible for the integrity, performance and reliability of numerous Corporate Express applications in a UNIX/Oracle environment. Primary system applications include:
** A custom Warehouse Management System and Delivery Tracking system operating in 28 divisions across the United States, Data Warehouse loads from multiple applications and various off-hour maintenance activities for other applications.
** The Swing and Night Support teams are responsible for supporting all Corporate Express divisions (28) operating in a 5 X 24 environment. Outbound Distribution and related activities are the primary business processes supported by the Swing/Evening support team. These processes include warehouse, inventory
management tasks and delivery/fulfillment task performed by 1400+ Delivery System application users
** Divisional issues are typically reported directly by the application user and require time critical resolution by a combination of application knowledge, situation/data analysis and applying existing scripts to resolve known issues.
** Monitoring jobs through Maestro job scheduler and verify jobs are successful or failed jobs are fixed in a timely manner.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
~ Strong problem solving skills and a desire to learn and improve skills
~ Use of Remedy (issue tracking) software to document issues.
~ Good rapport with team members and field staff
~ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
~ Familiar with UNIX and SQL and the MS Office tools including MS Access
~ Familiar with a relational data model.
~ Ability to multitask and appropriately prioritize a fluid workload.
~ Understanding warehouse processes would be very helpful.
