Position Description
TrackVia is seeking a self-motivated, experienced, senior programmer to join our small, and elite software development team. Candidates should be familiar with the LAMP stack and be comfortable working on all aspects of a commercial web site.
Candidates will be responsible for building innovative features using Modern Perl as part of a small agile team. These activities include new feature design, technical analysis, software engineering, programming, testing and integration.
Required Skills
• Extremely strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Deep knowledge of software design and architecture principles.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Object Oriented Programming and Development
• Expertise in HTML, DHTML, CSS
• Expertise in Javascript and Javascript frameworks such as jQuery, YUI, or Prototype
• Expertise in Perl, PHP, Java, or other programming languages
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, Oracle, or other RDBMS
• Modern Perl skills preferred ( Moose & Catalyst MVC Framework )
• Strong Unix / Linux skills
• Working knowledge of source control systems such as Subversion or Git
• 5+ years experience in programming commercial software or business systems.
• 4-year college degree – CS, math, or science strongly preferred, advanced degree a plus.
