Network Operations Engineer


The Network Operations Engineer position is responsible for day to day operations of Go Daddy networks. This includes configuration and support of internal and external networks. Develops and maintains security and network configurations. Troubleshooting and restoring network related problems or issues. Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Accepts incoming tickets from customers, provides basic troubleshooting of the problem, and then provides resolution or escalation within the team as needed. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.


Shift Work and participation in 24x7 on-call rotations as required. This position is located in Scottsdale.


What does the job entail?



· Troubleshooting and restoring high availability services and network components

· Responding to internal customer requests and providing excellent customer service and communications

· Implementing, operating and troubleshooting complex international data networks in a service provider environment



Do you have what it takes?



· 3-5 years of experience in network technologies

· Good understanding of routing, switch, firewall, and load balancer technologies, including experience with OSPF, BGP, access-control lists, peering, and DNS

· Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco CSS/CSM Content Switches, ACE appliances and modules, Cisco PIX/FWSM/ASA firewalls, and ACS

· Sound understanding or network management tools, reports, and processes

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Completion of a Bachelor's degree with course work in computer science, or equivalent work experience

· Highly motivated and a love for technology

· Strong technical skills

· Ability to act quickly and decisively

· Strong sense of ownership and willingness to take on challenges

· Solid decision making skills

· Flexible schedule

· Excellent communicator, both written and verbal

· Customer service oriented

· Value being a team player

· CCNA required, CCNP preferred.
