A Database Sales Consultant serves as a resource and partner to a sales team. Sales Consultants are charged with the responsibility of scoping and conducting Oracle database technology Proofs of Concept (POC's), resolving customer Oracle database performance issues, the installation of Oracle database technology, including RAC, and the establishment of technology related relationships with Oracle customers. A successful Database Sales Consultant has a detailed understanding of the Oracle database technology, and how it can be used to solve business issues. The successful candidate should have a consultative sales style incorporating technical skill while delivering business value, yet focused on revenue and be willing to take the initiative to ensure that Oracle wins the technology decision.
This role will be supporting Oracle's North America Exadata benchmarking efforts. This role requires expert level experience in Oracle Database Technology including:
• Parallel processing - both unix and database parallel technologies
• Movement and loading of LARGE quantities of data
• SQL tuning, database monitoring and tuning, application tuning
• ! Oracle RAC experience highly desirable
• Expertise in partitioning and Oracle compression technologies
• Load Generation tools such as Mercury, Oracle Real Application Testing.
• Ability to scope and define benchmark projects
