Summary
This position on the Financial Planning & Analysis team will provide analytical support related to developing metro network expansion business cases. This includes: analyzing opportunities in various geographic locations; understanding revenue, gross margin, operating margin, and cash flow results for various opportunities; tracking business results against key metrics; and communicating results to management.
Essential Duties
* Develop metro network expansion business cases
* Prepare monthly reporting packages and communicate results to product management team and other finance groups
* Database management, queries, and analysis
* Analyze traffic/usage/billing/netex trends
* Lead monthly forecasting exercise and periodic improvements to forecast models and processes
* Ad hoc project analysis
Education and Experience
* Experience: 4+ yrs
* Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
* Field Of Study: Finance, Accounting or Related Field
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
* 4+ years current experience in a comparable role
* Detail oriented with proven accuracy
* Team player with ability to self manage
* Strong Access / Database and Excel skills (queries, building reports, modeling and data manipulation)
* Strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
* Knowledge of Brio and Hyperion Essbase a plus
* Strong analytical skills and business case development skills
* Background in telecom preferred, but not required
Work Environment
Sits five to seven hours per day. Stands and or walks one to three hours per day. May bend, reach, stoop and crouch throughout the day. Should have the ability to hear, speak and see effectively to perform the necessary tasks of this position. Manual dexterity is occasionally required. The position may require frequent movement and activity relating to using keyboards, viewing data on computer displays, and communicating verbally and in writing to the needs of others. The employee-owner may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions.
