CoBiz Financial is currently seeking a Systems Engineer III for our downtown Denver Operation Center. General Purpose:



Leads the design, development, administration and support of the Microsoft Windows client/server based systems. This includes all aspects of managing a complex Microsoft environment.



Essential Functions:



s Designs and supports Microsoft Windows 2008/2003 Domain and Active Directory. This includes WINS, DHCP, and DNS services.

s Designs and supports Microsoft Exchange 2007 Administration. This includes Internet mail services including clustering, high availability, anti-spam and anti-virus.

s Performs system administration, analysis, and replacement of all server hardware and software.

s Establishes and controls client/server systems access and security using GPOs and access lists.

s Designs, supports and administers Enterprise-level storage systems (SAN, NAS, ISCSI and Fiber Channel)

s Designs and maintains Microsoft Hyper-V virtual server environments including clustering and disaster recovery options

s Performs daily maintenance, monitoring and support for all server-based anti-virus systems and applications.

s Develops and maintains enterprise-wide technical designs and documentation.

s Leads the monitoring and maintenance of operating system vulnerability tools.

s Performs operating system upgrades and installs patches on all servers as required.

s Ensures network print services are maintained at optimal performance.

s Designs and administers client/server data backup systems.

s Researches system business continuity strategies and develops recovery alternatives.

s Directs desktop standards to ensure uniformity and stability throughout the enterprise.

s Designs, creates and manages user directories and files on client server platforms.

s Monitors systems in order to optimize performance and initiate recovery action after system failures.

s Recommends and implements system monitoring tools for both reactive and proactive system management.

s Team lead in the completion of special projects.

s Establishes and provides system status reports to management.

s Exercises awareness in regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA Department and/or Internal Audit Director as appropriate.

s Performs job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal/state rules and regulations as applicable to the position.



Other Functions:



s Provides end-user desktop support as required.

s Assists with monitoring and maintenance of the e-mail filtering application(s)

s Completes Track-IT! User Support tickets in a timely manner.

s Provides escalation support to the User Support team.

s Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

s Provides on-call or pager support for all systems and applications.

s Aids in end user training.

s Other duties as assigned.



Job Qualifications:



Knowledge, Skill and Ability:



s Advanced experience with Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory.

s Advanced experience with Windows 2008/2003/2000 administration.

s Advanced experience with Exchange 2003/2007 system design and administration. This includes clustering, high-availability, e-mail filtering and anti-spam.

s Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V or similar virtualization technologies.

s Strong working knowledge of enterprise SAN technologies. EMC and NetApp preferred.

s Strong working knowledge of network topologies and protocols.

s Advanced working knowledge of PC operating systems (XP/Vista/Windows 7) and desktop applications (MS Office 2000/2003/2007/2010).

s Strong working knowledge of server- and desktop-based anti-virus applications.

s Strong working knowledge of server management applications and reporting.

s Working knowledge of Commvault backup solutions.

s Working knowledge of Symantec Enterprise Vault and Accelerator tools.

s Familiarity or experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

s Familiarity or experience with Scriptlogic Desktop Authority.

s Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.

s Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, peers, and outside contacts.

s Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with personnel at all levels within the organization, as well as outside vendors/contacts.

Education or Formal Training:



s Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent a plus.

¨ Advanced Microsoft training.



Certifications (required):



s MCSE – Windows 2003 or greater, MCSE – Exchange 2003 or greater, CCNA or greater.



Experience:



¨ Minimum seven years in an enterprise IT environment supporting desktops and servers.

¨ Minimum five years experience with Windows 2008/2003/2000 administration.

¨ Minimum three years experience with Microsoft Active Directory.

¨ Minimum five years experience with Microsoft Exchange 2007/2003/2000.

¨ Minimum five years experience with Microsoft desktop OS (XP - Windows 7).

¨ Minimum seven years of system engineering/administration experience.

¨ Minimum three years experience with enterprise SAN solutions.

¨ Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP including DNS, WINS, and DHCP.



Working Environment / Physical Requirements/Activities:



General office environment; therefore, must have the ability to operate Bank office machines/equipment with hands and the ability to use and type on computer keyboard. Must also have the physical ability to use the telephone. Must understand questions/concerns raised by parties involved, in person and over the telephone. Must be able to read job-related documents. Must have the physical ability to stoop, bend and lift, push, pull or carry up to forty pounds up to five times per day. Must have the ability to transport self to outlying locations, including limited overnight travel.
