MISSION:

Work with project managers and internal business partners on architecting and modifying Data Warehouse schemas. Perform database development tasks including creating and optimizing SQL, performing data imports, exports and general data manipulation. Work closely with the Business Intelligence, database and development teams to support the creation, and maintenance of databases for Zed USA's Data Warehouse. Establish and maintain database and reporting documentation.


MAIN DUTIES / FUNCTIONS:

Work with project managers and internal business partners on architecting and modifying Data Warehouse schemas, functions and reports. Perform database development in SQL Server and Analysis Services 2005. Support creation and maintenance of databases in order to support developmental projects.


QUALIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to understand complex data structures and data environments
Ability to create, modify and optimize existing stored procedures, views, and create complex SQL and MDX queries
Experienced working in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 environments
Experience with report development tools using SQL and MDX (Microsoft Reporting Services, Crystal Reports Microsoft Access, etc)


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:


Minimum of 3 years experience designing and implementing Data Warehouses.


SKILLS:

Strong knowledge of relational database design and implementation
Strong knowledge of de-normalized and normalized schemas with emphasis on star schema design
An understanding of how database design affects performance
4-5years developing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services packages
Significant knowledge of t-SQL
Experience with SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services to create Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes
