Position: Telecomm Technician (Multiple Positions)
Location: Broomfield, CO
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for Permanent)
Job Description
This role is responsible for implementation and deployment of customer
requirements. In addition, this person will be responsible for implementing
and maintaining the IP network solutions for customers as well as internal
operations.
GENERAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in a team environment, and communicate with customers in a
professional manner
TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Proven working knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addressing, preferably gained in a
telecom/ISP environment.
2) Demonstrable understanding of Internet services; DNS, Mail (SMTP).
3) Working knowledge of CISCO products and configurations.
4) Working knowledge of Juniper products and configuration.
5) Working knowledge of WAN routing protocols at layer 2 and 3.
6) Understanding of LAN technologies - IP, IPX, Novell.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
2-5 years networking experience. Strong understanding of network design and
provisioning process required, knowledge of internal systems highly
preferred. P.C. literate, including MS Suite preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BS Degree or equivalent work experience, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS a Plus.
Technical School or Military equivalent majoring in Telecom or SONET theory,
T1, T3, OC3, OC12.
