AppliedTrust is looking for an IT Security Analyst with hands-on technology experience both at the system and application level who enjoys working with people. This is an opportunity to work with highly-motivated individuals who take a practical approach to security.
Key contributions of this position include:
* Analyzing system, network, and application security.
* Demonstrating technical knowledge of Windows, UNIX, Linux, networking, and application platforms.
* Evaluating risk and identifying appropriate mitigation actions.
* Hands-on operation of security support platforms, such as IDS/IPS, AV/AS, etc.
* Hands-on technology evaluation and selection.
* Performing security, performance, and availability assessments.
* Managing and resolving open IT issues.
* Debugging user-reported problems.
* Monitoring systems and networks.
AppliedTrust requires a four-year degree for our IT Security Analyst positions. We are looking for folks with a strong technical foundation, which usually equates to some relevant coursework and one or more years of experience working as a system/network administrator or network engineer. This position requires excellent troubleshooting, planning, time management, and communication skills.
