GHX - Sr. QA Engineer

3 - 6 month Contract Sr. QA Engineer - Louisville,

Will be responsible for drawing upon substantial hands-on experience in
both manual and automated testing, and will leverage strong
understanding of IT systems and system integration expertise to test
product functionality.



Principle duties and responsibilities:

* Suggests and implements innovative approaches for problem
resolution.

* Provides support and suggestions for continuously improving
the SDLC process.

* Reviews and provides input on the accuracy, clarity and
testability of requirement documentation.

* Conducts testing using multiple test methodologies.

* Creates, executes and maintains complex test cases.

* Creates, executes and maintains automated test scripts.

* Isolates software problems, writing clear and detailed defect
reports.

* Assists development with defect reproduction.

* Validates issues reported as fixed.

* Demonstrates product mastery over responsible applications.

* Trains and mentors less-experienced staff members and internal
users.

* Communicates issues and status to team and management.



Required Skills:

* Working knowledge of hardware and software systems, components
and multiple platforms.

* Analytical and investigative problem-solving skills, and the
tenacity to work to the resolution of complex tasks.

* The ability to create and maintain automated tests in QTP.

* The ability to perform in a dynamic environment.

* Intermediate experience with SQL and Unix.

* The ability to assume responsibility for project assignments.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong time management skills.

Preferred Skills:

* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

* Ability to create and maintain performance tests in JMeter.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline,
with a minimum 4 years direct experience in a software testing role and
function.
