Douglas County School District - Senior Programmer/Analyst

* Serve as a senior technical resource in the evaluation, design, testing, implementation and support of the School District's applications.
* Work with user groups, external vendors technology support staff and District leadership teams to maintain, support and enhance application software.
* Provide system/project development and production support for a variety of applications and other initiatives.
* Support all aspects of the system development life cycle, with specific focus on application design, development and deployment.
* Develop and promote good community relations among various community and school clientele.
* Able to keep current with evolving technologies applicable to business and K-12 school environments.
* Able to work cooperatively with administrators and co-workers, as well as independently.
* Able to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
* Able to effectively communicate with the school district community.
* Maintain a generally positive attitude.
* Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
* Observe all District policies and procedures.


Experience:
* Three (3) years experience in programming using Oracle and SQLServer database technologies
* Oracle application development tools, including SQL Developer , APEX and JDeveloper
* Experience with multiple programming methodologies.
* Two (2) years experience designing and developing new systems in accordance with a software development life cycle methodology and project methodology.
* Demonstrated experience in system design and structured analysis.
* One (1) year experience architecting and implementing a data warehouse solution.
* Experience with Data Objects, Data Modeling, and Data Integration, preferably with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
* One year experience with an Oracle Fusion Middleware product.
* Working knowledge of Windows, UNIX and/or Linux operating systems and UNIX shell scripting.
* Experience supporting Accounting, Payroll, and/or K-12 Education Systems strongly preferred.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study (Master's degree preferred.).
