ITT Visual Information Solutions is a leader in software solutions that
create exceptional value for medical, remote sensing and scientific
customers in government, commercial, research and development, and
academic communities.
We have 2 key openings for full-time, hands-on Windows/Solaris System
Administrators. The qualified professionals will manage IT Network
Systems in the Denver - Longmont area. We need dedicated team players
who are able to work at a customer site with a minimum level of
supervision and who can effectively manage image dissemination systems
on several different networks serving key operational personnel around
the world.
Key responsibilities include: initial system installation and
initialization; system maintenance; data resolution, image ingestion and
dissemination problem resolution; application of OS and system patches;
training of customer personnel; and generating site-specific support
documentation. These positions are full-time for an initial period of 6
months and may lead to long-term employment contracts.
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science; may have post-graduate
education or training
* 3-5 years of Windows/Unix System Administration
* Excellent knowledge of industry standard IT practices and strategies
* Excellent time management and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organization and project management skills
* Familiarity with geospatial imagery is a plus
* U.S. citizenship is required for this position
* A DoD SECRET Security Clearance is required for this position
* A+ Network Security Certification is required for this position
