GHX - Sales Operations Manager

The Sales Operations Manager initiates and manages systems to support, track, and report on revenue-generating activities throughout the sales lifecycle. This position will collaborate closely with all functions, particularly Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Professional Services and Technology to assure alignment of resources and activities critical to sales effectiveness. The Sales Operations Manager will project manage cross-functional resources, maintain sales pipeline information and provide other general sales support as needed. In addition, the Sales Operations Manager will have responsibility for managing all operational functions of supporting the external sales force. This would include sales force automation support, metrics and forecast reporting, and ongoing systems training support.


Principal duties and responsibilities:

· Allied to Chief of Staff (CSO/EVP) within Sales; informs sales force capacity, initiates change management (processes and tools), and manages Sales Ops team priorities.

· Supervises Inside Sales Lead, CRM Administrator, Sales Ops Coordinator; hires, trains and develops staff.

· Manages sales forecast process; holds sales force accountable to metrics, develops and administers company's forecast.

· Establishes and documents justification for revenue goals, quota and territory assignments, and other objective performance assignments for sales resources.

· Partners with Sales, Human Resources and Finance on commissions and compensation plan design and modeling.

Oversees sales process development/adoption/compliance, sales tool development, sales training and sales force communication management, including vendor selection & management as appropriate.
Establishes and enforces all inside sales processes, policies and procedures; manages initial Customer data input, cleansing and review within CRM.
Develops processes for managing all leads, prospects, campaigns and emerging markets.

· Initiates new sales support tools for sales force; includes research, conducting stakeholder investigations, establishing metrics, identifying efficiencies improvements and issues.

· Creates, compiles, manages and distributes sales reports for internal stakeholders.

· Improves and implements systematic processes for pricing, proposals and contracting between Sales, Product, Legal, Finance and customers; liaises between sales team and legal re: contracting.

· Provides oversight procedures to ensure effectiveness in sales field, management and executives. Communicates insight and alerts action on key measurement indicators.

· Effectively operates in a highly matrix environment with influence that achieves organizational objectives.

· Strong understanding of sales and sales processes.

· Strong analytical skills; business, financial, operations, and technical skills.

· Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Preferred Skills:

· Familiarity with legal terms.


Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience

· Minimum 5 years sales operations (or equivalent) management experience

· 2 years experience implementing, managing and driving user adoption of sales force automation tools

· Project management experience with a demonstrated ability toward multiple projects; balance short-term, urgent needs with long-term strategic initiatives and drive actions to closure.


Preferred qualifications:

· Prior sales management experience within the healthcare industry.
