The Data Quality Developer will be part of a team that is implementing an enterprise Data Governance and Data Quality program. Specifically, the developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of data quality routines using a data quality tool, development and maintenance of a data quality dashboard, and development and maintenance of a metadata repository. The position requires strong knowledge of data quality concepts, data quality tools, data quality dashboards, and development in a database-centric environment.

Job Responsibilities

* Utilize data profiling tools and/or data querying tools to analyze and profile data
* Develop and implement data quality routines to mitigate data quality issues
* Develop ETL solutions to move data between source and destination databases
* Plan, develop, implement, and maintain data quality dashboards
* Plan, develop, implement, and maintain a metadata repository
* Database optimization
* Database modeling (physical and logical); creation of data flow and ER diagrams; database and application mapping
* Oracle database administration experience in production database environments and supporting Teradata databases on HP-UX, Solaris and Windows
* Database monitoring and performance tuning
* Prototype efforts during evaluation of new technology solutions
* Design and implement solutions that are scalable to support the entire enterprise
* Produce technical documentation
* Provide some Windows and Unix system administration as required for installation and maintenance of data quality software applications
* Scripting or programming at the system level for automation or using tools such as Autosys to facilitate automation
* May provide a variety of services ranging from day-to-day maintenance, design, development, and trouble-shooting to improve, advance or simplify applications and processes
* Follow established standards. Develop and document new processes and procedures as necessary

Qualifications

* Working knowledge of data governance, data quality management, metadata management, and master data management principles
* Understanding of dashboard and scorecarding concepts
* Experience with enterprise-wide data quality and data governance programs
* Experience with data quality software/tools
* Development in SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Web Services, JavaScript, HTML
* Strong SQL Skills
* TOAD or other database query tools
* Development with Hyperion Interactive Reporting Dashboards and Reports
* Creation of OBIEE Dashboards and Answers solutions, including configuration of RPD files
* Familiarity with data quality solutions from leading vendors such as DataFlux, Trillium, Informatica, or SAP BusinessObjects
* Development of database-driven web applications
* Understanding of data warehouse concepts
* Familiarity with WebMethods, WebLogic and basic java principles is a plus

Education Requirements

Bachelor*s degree (B. S.) in computer science or related field plus four years experience; or six years of combined education and experience.
