What You Offer:
Wall Street On Demand is seeking a SQL Developer to maintain the Company's customer and financial data. This position uses Transact SQL to surface data to our websites, etc. and eventually our customers. The objective of this position is for the incumbent to become a local expert for both particular clients and particular sets of data.
Job Duties:
* Write stored procedures to surface data on websites and PDF reports
* Support existing code
* Familiarity with other teams in engineering as well as WSOD system tools and applications
* Continuous improvement of SQL skills by interacting in peer code review
* Integrate new data feeds by manipulating data into desired format
* Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's degree required.
Experience - 2+ years experience working in a shared coding environment with a SQL language.
Skill/Ability - Familiarity writing stored procedures, designing database schema and optimizing code. Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects. Good verbal and written communication skills essential.

The Data Solutions Team at Wall Street on Demand (WSOD) is looking for a new team member. The Data Solutions team members are experts in financial data WSOD brings in from our providers and deliver to financial web sites we build and manage. We are responsible for interfacing with vendors and stock exchanges to ensure the quality of the data, troubleshooting data issues, identify the root cause of issues and escalate appropriately. We are the main technical contact for our many vendors and help to manage and facilitate vendor changes and updates. As a member of the Data Solutions Team you will be assigned to client projects where your main role will be to facilitate the data needs for complex financial applications. You will act as the primary resource within WSOD for researching external and identifying internal sources of all forms of financial information.
The chosen candidate will be passionate about finance, the investment industry and providing the highest quality data possible to our clients.
Job Responsiblities
* Troubleshoot data issues as reported through client channels
* Brainstorm new and interesting ideas to increase data quality
* Assist in the definition for the data requirements for projects
* Manage vendor feed upgrades throughout WSOD
* Scope and manage small internal projects across multiple departments
Skills Required
* Knowledge of financial markets and exchange data
* Critical thinking and creative problem solving
* Interest in financial data and the efficient handling of data
* Strong ability to multitask and maintain composure while fielding multiple requests for information on a daily basis
* Familiarity with exchange compliance policies and procedures
* Eagerness to be challenged with new tasks and responsibilities
* Self-starter with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment
* Effective and efficient time management and organization skills
* Some programming or SQL development skills
