Tri-State Generation - Engineer II Senior

Tri-State is a Denver based progressive and rapidly growing non-profit consumer owned wholesale supplier of electric power to forty-four distribution cooperatives in Colorado , Wyoming , Nebraska and New Mexico . Headquartered in Westminster , Colo. , more than 1,000 people are employed by Tri-State throughout its four-state service area.


Tri-State’s power is generated through a combination of owned baseload and peaking power plants that use coal and natural gas as their primary fuels, supplemented by purchased power, federal hydroelectricity allocations and renewable resource technologies.


Responsible for conducting engineering analysis/design activities and implementation of fossil fuel power plant betterment tasks as project engineer at the generating stations.


· Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.


· Two to eight years of progressive experience in fossil fuel generating plant engineering and construction work. Coal fired power plant experience preferred.


· Knowledge of operation and maintenance of fossil fuel power generating facilities.


· Working knowledge of PC programs and application to functional tasks.
