Job Description

The Retention Marketing Specialist is responsible for the ongoing effort to increase average revenue per unit (ARPU) through development of strong initiatives and tactics to be implemented through existing business channels.
In addition, this role is responsible to develop retention strategies and partner with premium and external programmers to spend co-marketing funds.
Develop and drive strategies from concept stage through execution to increase ARPU for DISH Network.
Management of programming partner relationships to maximize ARPU efforts, including collaborative effort to design and execute up-sell and retention strategies.
Implementation of initiatives to reward business channels (retailer, direct, commercial, CSC) to drive ARPU.
Development and analysis of reporting metrics to drive solid ARPU business decisions – including lifecycle, channel, and package.
Maximization of productive customer contact points to drive programming package up-sell with the highest likelihood of net response.
Maximization of the effectiveness of promotional activation promotions.
Development of CSR tools to push skillful messaging based on customer variables and prior customer contacts.
Preparing executive-level analysis, reports, project status overview and presentations for senior decision makers in the company.
Delivering and executing projects under tight timeframes and under budget.
Responding immediately to market needs.
Presentation of retention initiatives to other internal business members to get buy in.
Partnering with external programmers and premiums to implement retention strategies that align with both business units.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or 2 years of related experience and/or training; and 2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures or government policy.
Able to write reports/correspondence/procedure manuals, and present information and respond to questions from managers/customers/general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
