EchoStar - QA Engineer, SQL Server Developer, Architect

Summary:
 Troppus Software, in Superior, CO, is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to perform quality assurance analysis and testing for the Symbi™ Customer Service & Support Delivery Platform.

 Responsibilities:
 Quality assurance analysis. Support and quality assurance for production, staging, QA/test, and development systems and environments. Analyzing and refactoring work performed by team leads, systems analysts, programmers as it relates to Quality Assurance. Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements. Basic Qualifications:
 College Degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of authoring test plans, test cases, test procedures. 10+ years of black box testing experience 10+ years of reviewing project/product plans in order to plan and coordinate project/product activity. Preferred Qualifications:
 User Acceptance Testing support. Prepare and review operational reports or project/product progress reports. Identifying where automation can be applied vs. repeated human interaction. Experience with Ranorex test automation tools or experience testing. Experience with soapUI or other SOAP test automation tools. Experience with .NET 4.0 or greater, Microsoft Silverlight or WPF applications. Experience with Flexera InstallShield 2010/2011. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Message queuing, and WCF. Experience in Agile Practices and Methodologies (SCRUM/XP a plus). Experience using Source Code Management tool – SVN experience. Experience working in conjunction with Agile Management (ALM) tools.

Summary:         
 Troppus Software, in Superior, CO, is looking for a SQL Server Developer – a t-sql development and schema design expert, eager to support software development teams in an Agile development environment.

 Responsibilities:
 Taking ownership of the development side of working with SQL Server 2012, and working with the Senior Database Administrator - the SQL Developer’s operations counterpart.  Take ownership of existing database code and schema, as well as trouble shooting and improving the logic, I/O and performance of existing code.  Design database schemas, improve and write quality code using Microsoft Best Practices. Knowledge of new t-SQL features in SQL Server® 2012 Enterprise.  Must write well documented, clean and highly optimized code for thousands of concurrent users. Enhance processes and application functionality via performance tuning using out of the box thinking. Responsible for working closely with Senior Database Administrator to ensure production and development environments and maintained properly according to best practices. All aspects of database design, development and deployment. Produce ER data models to document applications’ functionality to its objects and schemas/ Assess and advise on best practices for enhancing data integrity and availability. Work with Senior Database Administrator to constantly improved the SQL Server environment, and processes Manage Relational Integrity, Index Tuning and Production refresh of SQL Server databases Perform basic administrative functions in order to backfill Senior Database Administrator, as needed.

 Basic Requirements:

Summary:
 Troppus Software is seeking a Principal Architect who will be responsible for architecture, design, and development of product features of the Symbi™ Customer Service & Support Delivery Platform and enabling frameworks.

 Responsibilities:
 Design, build solutions, and work closely with the team to ensure functional, performance, availability, and stability requirements of the solution are met. Provide follow-up support to company product marketing teams and customer personnel by disseminating technical information for specific products and features, and ensure that the solution is functioning in line with specifications. Set the pace for the development team with solution technology that supports the overall product direction. Collaborate with Product Owner and Development to align product design and architecture making the necessary changes as required. Coach and mentor the team while solving complex problems. Be able to write code when necessary to promote better design practices into the product and the overall team. Be able to write code when necessary to instill better design practices into the product and the overall team Provide prototyping and PoC code and documentation as a reference to development team. Help guide the Product Owner early in the analysis and planning phase. Drive a culture of quality by establishing a clear set of rules, e.g. TDD, Unit Testing, and code reviews before check-in. Be flexible in making design changes when required if requirements demand a different approach. Lead the development of a dynamic device management system. Follow and drive the Agile engineering processes and methodologies (XP/Scrum). Act as an advisor and propose changes based on analysis of requirements and new technology. Provide technical direction and design approval for Symbi™ solutions.

 Basic Requirements:
 Bachelor’s degree from four year college/university or equivalent experience. 10 years of proven leadership and architecture experience building and managing highly available, critical and transactional data environments, systems architectures and technologies.  10 years experience with the Microsoft technology stack. 8+ years experience in C#, .Net and Java 8+ years RDBMS design and development (SQL Server a plus). Preferred Qualifications:
 Experience with IOS and  Android development Experience developing device management systems Proven software engineering and system design skills. In-depth understanding of a broad range of network and communication protocols (IP, UDP, TCP, ARP, UPnP/SSDP, ICMP, mDNS, SNMP, ZigBee, Z-Wave, M2M), as well as higher-level network protocols: SOAP, REST. Knowledge and experience with SaaS and SOA architectures. Knowledge and experience with modular architectures. Threading and concurrent programming. Experience working across multiple platforms and technologies. Distributed system design and architecture concepts. Distributed version control systems. Agile practices and methodologies. Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.
