ShipCompliant - Web Developer

ShipCompliant is a Boulder-based SaaS company. As the industry leader of software for wineries, distillers and wine & spirits importers, we automate compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Our software is changing an industry by reducing time to market and enabling new sales channels. Where others see problems, we see possibilities. This “can-do” spirit lies at the heart of what we do.

We’re also one of Colorado’s leading tech companies named to Mercury 100 Fastest Growing Start-ups, 2008 - 2012, IQ Innovation Award Winner 2009 and 2011 Colorado Companies to Watch.

But that's enough about us. Let's talk about you.

You are, first and foremost, passionate about web development. You see challenges as opportunities to apply your creativity and problem-solving skills.  You’re not satisfied with mediocrity. Even when a project is “done,” you know it’s never really finished. An eternal student, you live to learn about new technologies, and have spent many nights coding or reading Stack Overflow till the early hours of the morning. You thrive in a collaborative, agile environment where your ideas are valued and rewarded. Your empathy, patience, and communication skills make you easy to work with – but you’re not afraid to assert your opinion when necessary. You’re fanatical about something, whether it's beer brewing, fly fishing, or mountain biking. You have professional experience with ASP.NET, C#, SQL, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio 2012, and with using SOAP, REST, and/or JSON Web Services. Ideally, you’ve had exposure to Agile software development methodologies because we practice Scrum. Oh, and you’re probably highly caffeinated. (You’d consider a fridge full of Red Bull a legit perk.)

Still with us? Read on. As a software engineer with ShipCompliant, you will:

Develop and enhance user experience using ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, CSS, HTML, and Backbone
Develop and maintain scalable business logic using .NET 4.5, C#, nHibernate 3.1, SQL 2012
Interact with over 50 technology partners to build and improve integrated solutions
Gain exposure to some of the latest technologies during “Non-functional Mondays” and contribute to R&D on some wild and crazy ideas
Work in a fast-paced Scrum environment under tight deadlines to “ship” new releases each sprint.
Work alongside some of the smartest and most talented people you’ll ever meet!

ShipCompliant is a pretty great place to work. Our office is ideally located in downtown Boulder, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, and happy hour spots. In addition to a casual work environment, ShipCompliant team members enjoy medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage; 401K retirement plan; generous paid vacation, holidays, and health & wellness days; company-paid ECO Pass; discounted gym and rock climbing club memberships; annual company trips to Napa Valley and Steamboat Springs; weekly wine hour, and more!

We can’t wait to meet you.

- That you’re a smart, results-oriented professional who is eager to learn.
- That you can play ping pong, foosball, pinball, and/or shuffleboard with the best of them.
- Bonus points if you have experience with servlet containers, Oracle RDBMS, Spring MVC, Web Services, JMS, MBeans, Restful, Distributed Caching, GIT, RIA Web Frameworks, Agile XP, Dynamic HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript
