Job Description
PURPOSE
The Business Analyst collaborates with Product Managers, Developers, Quality Assurance and Application Support to develop applications that address business requirements and enhance software products.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Analysis
Collaborates with subject matter experts and various stakeholders to analyze business requirements. Participates in and/or lead joint application development (JAD) sessions.
Documentation
Prepares detailed business requirements. Prepares detailed functional specifications and process flows. Reviews functional specifications produced by peers for adherence to requirements. Provides assistance for technical estimates
Development
Troubleshoots implementation and production issues. Manage deliverables for initiatives and adhere to Prime Alliance's product development methodology. Creates test plans and provides system testing on all new enhancements. Provides initiative training and assistance to others, as needed. Provides subject matter expert support on requirements for all departments
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Skilled in the preparation of product development business requirements and functional specifications
Background in the mortgage industry with emphasis on loan origination and fulfillment in retail, correspondent, broker and/or secondary marketing is preferred
2-5 year experience with software development with an emphasis on functional design
