While New York City is certainly an expensive place to live, why not place this job elsewhere in the country? Can someone in Florida, being paid $100k+ do the same job with occasional travel to New York City?

You will be managing a team of highly skilled software engineers that are building a new ediscovery platform that ingests data in all forms including voice, video, instant messaging, email, etc. The system stores data in cloud services and makes the data searchable. Hands on technical skills with Search technologies is essential ... must understand search, classification, indexing, NLP, machine learning / AI, storage and retreival, etc. Building and making scalable systems that store huge amounts of data (Big Data, Petabytes, Hadoop, Greenplum, C++, Java, etc).
