Webroot - IT Enterprise Architect

The IT Enterprise Architect is responsible for providing architecture, vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving on an enterprise level. This individual anticipates IT industry future directions and relates it to future architecture needs and projects. The IT Enterprise Architect may be called upon to provide any level of project management for single or multiple projects.

This individual will develop and lead the implementation of application standards that have an operational and financial impact on the company. This person will define and maintain technology and integration models, and the conceptual and logical application and infrastructure patterns and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Defines the system, technical, and application architectures and, in some instances, the business system architecture for major areas of development
* Defines technical standards and procedures
* Apply enterprise vision to all system, technical, and application projects
* Perform situation analysis and recommendations for problem solving
* Conceive solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions
* Recommend appropriate course of action to developers/technicians and management on technical and infrastructure issues
* Recommends proactive courses of action to maintain cost-effectiveness and competitiveness
* Reviews all projects within the architectural domain
* Proactively assists in defining direction for future projects
* Ensure the effective, efficient integration and upgrade of all systems to guarantee alignment with disparate platforms and various middleware components.
* Research and recommend options and opportunities in area(s) of technical expertise, regarding system development tools, design, purchase, deployment, maintenance, and evolution.
* Consults with various Webroot development groups to develop prototypes utilizing current and/or new technologies; demonstrates production viability, cost/benefit
* Stays abreast of current and future technology(s) in area of development tools, infrastructure interfaces, and interface design.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* 10+ years experience in development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale enterprise systems across multiple hardware and software platforms
* Minimum of 5 years of IT architectural design and development required, including demonstrated experience in enterprise architecture, information architecture and master data management
* Experience integrating Systems, Networks, and Applications across an enterprise
* Familiarity with systems architecture across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms
* Familiarity with network architecture (Foundry and Juniper preferred)
* Proven experience integrating enterprise software solutions, both new and legacy, and the ability to migrate software and IT environments from legacy environments to current solutions
* Demonstrated knowledge of various programming languages and development tools, including (but not limited to) Oracle/Microsoft development tools like Java, VB, C++ and/or XML
* Demonstrated experience in application design and development
* Experience with Oracle Applications and/or Salesforce.com a plus
* Bachelor*s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science required
* Master*s degree is preferred
* Oracle, Microsoft-related certifications preferred
