Global Healthcare Exchange - Sr. Windows Server Administrator

As the senior-level Microsoft Systems Administrator/Engineering working in a 2008 Active Directory corporate computing environment, will have joint responsibility with another sysadmin for administering 75+ servers, as well as working closely with the client support technicians and the "production" I.T. staff.

Duties include coordination with SaaS vendors, after-hours "on call" support as required, with responsibilities rotating between two information systems engineers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will deploy and support Microsoft servers and the applications which reside on these systems:

* Microsoft Server 2003/2008
* Active Directory 2008
* Microsoft Exchange 2010
* SharePoint 2007/2010
* Office Communicator 2007/Linc
* SCCM 2007 R2
* Blackberry Enterprise Server 5.x
* Citrix
* VMware (ESX 4.1)
* Oracle eBusiness Suite
* Siebel
* SalesForce.com
* Project management tools (Microsoft Project Server, Rally, PlanView, etc.)

REQUIRED SKILLS:

This is a core Microsoft Systems Engineer position, with technical support responsibilities for various applications and services other than Microsoft:

* Ability to perform independent actions associated with best practices in architecture, deployment, support, troubleshooting, and inter-operability of current Microsoft server operating systems and primary server-side applications.
* Must possess a deep background and expertise regarding the operation, configuration, troubleshooting and support of Microsoft Exchange 2010, Active Directory 2008, and SharePoint 2010.
* Demonstrated ability to support systems in an environment running on VMware, with the ability to create, support, and troubleshoot ESX 4.1 in a "best practices" manner.
* Must possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft*s SCCM platform including software deployment, asset and software inventory collection and other systems monitoring functions.
* Proven history of successfully deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting Blackberry Enterprise Server in an inter-operability configuration with Microsoft Exchange 2010.
* Other inter-operability obligations to include, but are not limited to, financial and sales support applications, to include Oracle Financials.
* Ability to function in teams: 1) internal corporate computing, 2) shared I.T. services, 3) business support, and 4) cross-disciplinary.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

The ability to perform administrative activities without a GUI, as well as a good understanding of non-Microsoft inter-operability options, is definitely desirable:

* PowerShell scripting
* SQL queries
* Log parsing and review across multiple systems
* Network analysis, with a good understanding of the OSI model
* LDAP

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Will serve as the "go to" person for all aspects of server-side issues in a 600+ person company.

* Experience: Minimum six (6) years of experience in a similar role that supported at least 300 users and twenty (20) servers running in a Windows 2003/2008 AD environment. Service ticket management using an enterprise tool such as Siebel is an expectation for the position.
* Education/Certification: Current MCITP or MCM certification in Microsoft server operating systems. B.S. in computer science within the last ten (10) years, and/or experience beyond six years in this field may be considered as a substitute for current MCITP/MCM certification.
* Physical: Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds without assistance, as well as the ability to operate computer systems with no more than standard Microsoft accessibility options (http://www.microsoft.com/enable/).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

This position will assist Client Support ("Help Desk") technicians, as well as business units. As such, experience/certification in the following areas will be helpful:

* SCCM and other remote management tools
* VPN
* Apple products
* Information security
