We have an immediate opening for a seasoned Technical Architect at our Corporate Headquarters in Greenwood Village, CO.



Position: Infrastructure Storage Architect/Engineer

Title: Technical Architect

This role is responsible for the strategic planning, detailed architecture design, and engineering of all storage, backup, and recovery technologies for TriZetto’s Hosting Services. The position will also be responsible for assisting in the architecture and engineering of Linux based operating systems and database systems. This person will work with a team to analyze business requirements, customer requirements, and develop solutions that address immediate needs and future strategic opportunities.
Ability to assess and plan the development of long-term strategic goals for the enterprise server environment in conjunction with IT service owners and IT staff.
Responsible for the design and implementation of redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery, storage architecture, backup/recovery, and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of server/storage systems and stored data assets.
Lead, coordinate, and participate in key process improvements.
Assist in the continued development of technical staff and core technologies.
Examine and evaluate technology vendors and their hardware/software for strategic solutions to the business.
Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for responsible areas of the architecture platform based on strategy, functional, best practices, and detailed designs.
Lead/participate in organization and client facing architecture initiatives.
Performs technical assessment/proof of feasibility for new initiatives.
Act as mentor and coach to members of the team.
Act in an architectural advisory capacity to implementation and support teams.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Required Skills:
5-8 years of Technical Architecture Experience.
Strong Architecture knowledge in enterprise SAN and NAS environments/solutions, especially storage vendors including EMC, NetApp, and Isilon using various protocols with experience in FC, FCoE, SAN, and NAS.
Strong knowledge of enterprise backup software, techniques, and methods.
Architecture design skills in Linux.
Architecture design skills in datasets and database technologies.
Excellent knowledge of Security in all aspects of IT including skills in SAS 70, HIPPA, etc.
Architecture design of multi-tiered storage approaches.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including creating detailed designs in Visio and Word.
Strong technical knowledge of PC and platform operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Workstation and Server OS, Linux, and UNIX variants.
Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, VMware server virtualization, and networking (TCP/IP/ DNS/WINS).
Excellent communication skills, organizational capabilities, and comprehension capabilities.
Self motivated and directed with keen attention to detail with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong Project Management experience with excellent technical documentation skills.
Education, training, professional certification, and relevant experience.
College diploma or university degree.

Preferred Skills:
Architecture design skills in UNIX/AIX.
Architecture design skills with IBM Power hardware.
Architecture design skills in Sybase, Oracle, and MS SQL technologies.
Architecture design skills in Boot from SAN.
Architecture design of multi-tiered storage in a hosting, cloud, or SAS offerings.
Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes and procedures.

College diploma or university degree in a related field.
