Blackstone Technology Group, a full service staffing and consulting company established in 1998, is currently conducting a search on behalf of our client for an Oracle Database Administrative professional.

This is a full time direct hire opportunity with one of Denver , CO premier employers.

Because this is a full time position, candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship, and we are unable to work with 3rd parties companies on this position.

Job Description:

A leading managed services company is seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator to join its winning team.

The Oracle Database Administrator interfaces with multiple members of the operations and customer teams on a technical and customer service level. The DBA demonstrates an enterprise view and understanding of systems and technologies. The DBA is responsible for database design, installation, maintenance, monitoring, and upgrades of database systems. This includes documenting systems in accordance with company standards. The DBA serves as a point of escalation and review for issues or concerns identified by the customer or the monitoring system on a 24x7 basis.

* Must have 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience, Oracle versions 9i – 10g
* Oracle High Availablity (HA) systems such as 9i and 10g RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Clustered File Systems (e.g., ASM, OCFS) implemented on Redhat Linux versions 3.x & 4.x
* RMAN
* Hands-on experience with management/monitoring tools, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
* Oracle RDBMS installation, tuning, and version upgrades.
* Oracle RDBMS on Linux, Windows, and Solaris
* Linux administration skills preferred
* PL/SQL Script creation and tuning.
* Experience with JDBC application clients that connect to DB via connection pools
* Troubleshooting database and SQL performance issues.
* Experience in technical concepts coupled with the ability to communicate complex technical information in straightforward terms.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills conducive to team development.
* Willingness to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic 24X7 environment.
* Thorough understanding of storage technologies such as SAN and NAS
