company operates 430+ stores in 46 states. The Company was established
in 1928 and offers a comprehensive high-quality assortment of brand name
sporting apparel and equipment at competitive prices.




POSITION DESCRIPTION


Manage the 24x7, 365 day corporate computer operations for all
platforms, production control and management, disaster recovery
execution planning, capacity reporting, and crisis management related to
production issues. Seeking a STRONG LEADER to manager team of Computer
Operators and Production Control Administrators.




PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


* Manage computer operations for all platforms - to include
AS/400, IAX, Linux and Windows Servers.
* Management of all platform performance and availability
reporting.
* Manage and monitor capacity and trend reporting for all
platforms.
* Responsible for crisis/incident management and coordination of
resources.
* Management of Disaster Recovery execution.
* Increase utilization of existing ROBOT tools to automate the
current manual processes.
* Coordinate, develop and implement a long-term storage strategy.
* Maintains power, cooling, fire alarm and suppression systems
within the data center.
* Manage and maintain physical security of data center and
systems.
* Ensure tape backup system and all backup schedules and rotations
are completed.
* Budget development, monitoring and reporting for operational
expenses
* Manages the day-to-day development of each Associate including
effective on-boarding, on the job training, and performance reviews.
* Partner with HR Manager to develop job descriptions for new
positions and identify and hire talent.
* Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed.





PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS


* Degree in technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience
* 7 plus years experience in a technical operations environment -
REQUIRED
* 5 plus years in a supervisory or management capacity in a
technical operations environment to include effectively motivating
teams.- REQUIRED
* Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution, project
management, production control, implementation of automated processes
and data center operations required.
* Knowledge of systems administration and programming, software
operations, desktop applications, IBM host systems, LAN, communications,
telecommunications and standard architectures.
* Ability to solve a wide range of highly complex,
multi-disciplinary problems which must consider long-term company-wide
planning.
* Ability to compose major reports, policy or procedure manuals,
proposals, brochures and delivery presentations regarding potentially
controversial issues which may involve negotiations.
* Ability to improve existing systems or procedures which
periodically result in new ideas or approaches of considerable
significance.
