In this role you will be responsible for data modeling, physical database design, troubleshooting, performance tuning, monitoring, maintenance, migrations, recovery methodologies and contingency options. The job will also involve the challenge of auditing the current environments, capacity planning, and providing best practices for the future production/development/test environments, which may include establishing new standards and procedures. The candidate should have knowledge with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases.

Required skills include:

* Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting Production/Development of Oracle databases in a Unix/Linux environment and SQL Server databases
* Working knowledge of Oracle 10g and 11g, SQL Server 2000 and 2005, and MySQL 5.x
* Backup and Recovery for Oracle (RMAN), SQL Server, and MySQL * Intimate with PL/SQL, Unix Shell, SQL, T-SQL
* DTS and SSIS development
* Data Modeling
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred skills include:

* Experience in setting up log shipping and replication
* Clustering skills for all database platforms
* Oracle RAC experience
* SQL Server Reporting Service
* Experience working with 500GB + SQL Server databases
* Knowledge of multi terabyte Oracle databases
* Database design / tuning
* Grid Management
