Programming Language Support Engineer

Join our team of experts as a Programming Language Support Engineer, and
use your education and prior scientific or programming experience to
provide source code, programming algorithms, science algorithms and
system configuration solutions to image processing programmers and
scientists worldwide. This involves supporting, analyzing and
troubleshooting customers' data imaging needs and reviewing their
programs written in the IDL programming language. ITT Visual Information
Solutions' IDL product is one of the world's longest-standing fourth
generation programming languages for visualization of scientific data.
* 2 years experience in C, C++, Visual Studio or Java
* 2 years experience in a Unix, Windows or Macintosh environment
* Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics,
Engineering or other natural sciences
* Experience working with customers or other users in a support
capacity
* Able to present to small audiences
* Strong oral and written communication skills a must
* Experience in Math/Scientific programming languages (e.g.
Matlab, Mathematica, ArcGIS, ERDAS) a plus
* Experience in Image Processing a plus
* Fluency in French, Spanish and/or Italian is a plus
