SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR / APPLICATIONS & DESKTOP SUPPORT
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Develop and drive corporate IT plan, including assessing
software application needs for all functional areas of the Company;
conducting gap analyses; researching, recommending, implementing,
maintaining and evaluating solutions for ongoing effectiveness
* Perform desktop support and maintenance, including specifying
hardware, building and troubleshooting Windows and Linux PCs and
software, setting up accounts for new employees, managing and ensuring
the integrity and safe offsite storage of backups, providing instruction
to users on standard applications and network connectivity, and other
internal support functions
* Manage Windows Active Directory domain
* Manage network infrastructure (e.g., wireless, switches,
routers, firewall) and relationships with ISP and service providers
(e.g., email, spam filtering)
* Install, administer and customize software applications; track
and maintain software application licenses
* Perform network backups
* Maintain and support Intranet and portions of the company's
Internet website
* Document IT processes, drive ongoing process improvements, and
maintain up-to-date network documentation
* Liaison with third-party IT / LAN administration provider
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
* Bachelor's Degree (required); related certifications
(preferred)
Experience
* 5+ years experience in information systems and network
management (required)
* Experience with Windows, MS Office applications and TCP/IP
networks; Linux/Unix system administration; network security; firewall
setup and maintenance; and Windows Active Directory (required)
* Experience in an engineering or similar technical environment
(preferred)
