Description:
The Senior Healthcare Analytics SAS Programmer is an individual contributor role that will provide support for network optimization and accountable care shared savings programs. This position will create repeatable and scalable financial models utilizing data from UnitedHealthcare Community & Stateâs data warehouse and other sources (i.e. Rate Cells, Kick Payments, Reinsurance, RAR, Part D, capitation) that reconcile to overall financials (Revenue and Medical Expense).
Primary job responsibilities:
-Drill-down on identified physician groups to determine root cause of performance-Model financial impact of network optimization and accountable care initiatives: member disruption, reassignment to better performing physician groups, and shared savings -Produce scorecards (i.e. financial, clinical, and quality data) -Produce downstream real time member analytics in support of operational processes -Retrospective review of impacted groups
Qualifications:
Required:
-Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience-Expert ability in Oracle/SQL, SAS, VBA, EXCEL, and ACCESS-5-10 years of healthcare economics experience to include knowledge of Provider Contracting and nomenclature as well as Healthcare finance knowledge: revenue, medical expense, MLR, gross margin, etc.
