Job Description
We're looking for a bright, motivated, front-end developer who eats complex design challenges for breakfast. OPEN SCAN is looking to bring corporate financial applications out of the '90s and apply advances in the UX field to the corporate world. You'll work as a member of a small team of developers to design and implement innovative products. If you love being challenged and working with the latest technologies this is the position for you.
What You'll be Doing
* Creating wireframes and prototypes
* Implementing complex, data-driven user experiences using HTML5, CSS3, and CoffeeScript
* Interfacing with RESTful web services
* Diagnosing and correcting client side defects and performance issues
* Working as part of a small team to deliver quality software and utilities
Skills & Experience
The Basics
* Two plus years of front-end development experience
* Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 standards
* Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and/or CoffeeScript
Ideally
* Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript and CoffeeScript
* Experience with Backbone.js
* Knowledge of WebSockets
* Experience working in an Agile environment
* Experience with software design concepts
* Familiarity with UI separation patterns such as MVC or MVVM
* Experience delivering commercial software in an agile environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
