Your Team: Engineering

The team leverages the newest virtualization technologies and products to put together a complete ordering and management suite for HOSTING customers to get the most out of using Cloud Infrastructure. In HOSTING offices throughout the U.S. and Canada, HOSTING Engineers work collaboratively on automation projects that make us unique. Clients have come to trust and rely on the skill of the Engineering Team to make products that they can bet their business on.  From writing monitoring software, to advanced automated platform delivery, the Engineering teams at HOSTING have access to every system in the organization.

Your Role: Software Engineer

A Software Engineer at HOSTING is a critical thinker and enjoys a challenge. This role requires someone who can take existing system architecture into account while developing creative solutions to challenging problems. You will be part of a geographically distributed team, so good teamwork and communication is essential. Your understanding and input on system design is valuable, and is the basis for all of our team learning and growth. You will work on many projects during your career at HOSTING, which require some of the following skills:

Responsibilities:

▪Build web-applications for use by internal Hosting.com staff and external customers based on C#.NET and Microsoft’s Entity Framework ORM.

▪Demonstrate proficiency interacting with SQL Databases and performing ETL processes for data/application migrations.

▪Work in a team-oriented Agile organization using Scrum and be prepared to demonstrate your efforts at the end of each sprint to business stakeholders.

▪Participate in the product-design process by leveraging your experience to provide sound feedback and technical direction.

▪Show technical skill by participating in peer-reviews of code, and offering suggested refactorings in line with best-practice design patterns.

Minimum Qualifications:

▪3 years experience in a Software Engineering role

▪Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

▪BS degree in Computer Science or related field (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience)

▪Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
