Responsibilities
* Handle customer service phone calls
* Provide technical phone and email support to contractors, IT personnel, homeowners, and electricians
* Consider the validity of warranty claims
* Educate potential customers and generate estimates
* 40 Hours, 9-5 M-F

people better understand their energy use. eGauge is used in smart grid,
renewable energy, sub metering, research and demand-side management
applications. eGauge serves residential, commercial and government
clients nationally and internationally. eGauge is based solely in
Boulder, Colorado.
Required
* IT networking experience -- knowledge of basic routing, switching, IP allocation/DHCP, etc.
* Basic computer/web proficiency (you should know how to properly Google things you don't know)
* Ability to learn quickly
* Ability to communicate clearly and patiently
* Strong English grammar, spelling and speaking skills
Preferred
* Linux/code development and testing experience (see below)
* Basic physics
* Electrical knowledge
* Interest in smart grid/energy studies
* Customer service experience both via phone and email
Plus
* Non-English language skills
There is opportunity for the employee to advance within the company and
subsequent retention and compensation is based upon performance. The
employee will assist with support documentation and/or video production
and review when not responding to customer concerns. An individual with
coding or testing experience (or interest and ability to learn) will
also have the opportunity to engage in software testing.
