The Software Development Manager is responsible for leading a team of
senior .NET developers/QA in the design, development, and testing of our
enterprise solutions for EMS and fire dispatch.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with team members on product architecture
-Establish and assign work assignments and deadlines
-Issue directives to QA personnel to ensure product quality
-Collaborate with other software development managers on overall R&D protocols
-Work closely with Product Managers / Owners to ensure that product fulfills its business use case
-Ultimate responsibility for on time, on budget delivery of finished releases
-Management of team members (hire/fire, reviews, development, etc)
-Continuous improvement of Scrum and Agile practices
Job Requirements:
-5+ years experience as a software engineer in a Microsoft .NET environment
-2+ years experience with Agile / Scrum development processes
-Experience developing mission critical applications under deadline
-Track record of delivering high quality products
-Experience working with SQL or Oracle back-ends
-3 - 5 years employee management experience
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-Strong leadership skills
-Highly collaborative with technical and non-technical individuals
-Out of the box thinker
-Dedicated to the use of technology to solve business problem
