WealthTouch - Support Analyst, Network Engineer

WealthTouch is an entrepreneurial but experienced company.  We are
smart but fun, necessarily innovative but practical, focusing our
accuracy and holding fast to integrity in all that we do.  We are
looking for an Infrastructure Support Analyst to manage and tune
in-house computer software systems and network connections to ensure
high levels of availability and security of the supported business
applications. This individual also participates in the planning and
implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system
provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals,
industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning
•    Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of
long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with
end-users and department managers.

Acquisition & Deployment
•    Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and
database administration functions to implement desktop and server
systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate
objectives.
•    Deploy workstations, servers, printers, scanners, wireless, PDAs and phones.

Operational Management
•    Manage all operating systems and end-user software.
•    Manage communications (e-mail, IM,) and connection solutions,
including workstation connectivity, local area networks, intranet, and
Internet applications.
•    Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on desktop
computers in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices
regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
•    Manage input/output fleet, including printers and scanners.
•    Support mobile technologies including cellular phones, PDAs, and
Wireless networking.
•    Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage
allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy,
security, and regulatory compliance.
•    Perform Desktop/Software application audits.
•    Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware
and software problems on input/output fleet, and workstations.
Escalate incidents as necessary.
•    Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network
component inventory and related documentation and technical
specifications information.
•    Support application development teams throughout project lifecycles.
•    Analyze system, workstation, application, network, and input/output
device performance.
•    Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements,
upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
•    Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and
standards in support of systems software procurement and development
efforts.
•    Create required reports in response to business user needs.
•    Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated
training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
•    Provide first level help desk support.  This requires resolution of
user and network issues in line with first level help des expertise or
security capabilities.

Qualifications:

Formal Education & Certification
•    College diploma or university degree in the field of computer
science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience.

Knowledge & Experience
•    Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating
systems, including Microsoft applications and operating system.
•    Extensive application support experience.
•    Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols,
and standards, including Network, Active Directory.
•    Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
•    Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
•    Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

looking for an experienced Senior Systems Network Engineer. This
position will be responsible for senior level management and
maintenance of the companies’ LAN/WAN environment and computer
systems. It will include the participation in and oversight of the
daily up keep and administration of the companies’ network
infrastructure and computer systems. This position will also be
responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance
of the companies’ network infrastructure and architecture. Senior
Engineers will be expected to show leadership and mentor other less
experienced engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

•    Deploy workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls,
encryption systems, and all host security systems.

Operational Management
•    Implement and maintain all network, security, and computer systems
to meet the organization’s current and future requirements.
•    Daily administration and oversight of the network and computer systems.
•    Responsible for the management, maintenance, and architecture of the
companies Storage Area Network (SAN).
•    Responsible for the management of all networking equipment to
include servers, switches, hubs, and routers.
•    Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve network and system
problems, performance issues, and computer resource allocation.
•    Professionally represent the Infrastructure team as a technical
consultant on projects. Maintain as necessary project plans and
documentation of all system builds and modifications.
•    Provide technical assistance and mentoring to technical team members
to increase skill sets and understanding of data, systems, and
architectural design.
•    Interact and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and
contract consultants.
•    Provide technical consultation on all other aspects of departmental functions.
•    Support mobile technologies including cellular phones, PDAs, and
Wireless networking.
•    Maintain a good working knowledge of the current industry standard
desktop operating systems and major applications, for example MS
Exchange and MS SharePoint.
•    Responsible for development and documentation of corporate policies
and procedures as related to network, system, and device use.
•    Support application development teams throughout project lifecycles.
•    Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output
device performance.
•    Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements,
upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
•    Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and
standards in support of systems software procurement and development
efforts.
•    Responsible for the overall design and growth of the company’s local
and wide area networks.
•    Responsible for managing the company’s backup environment.  To
include the creation of backup jobs, deployment of backup clients,
tape rotation, and restores.
•    Provide third level help desk support.  This requires resolution of
user and network issues beyond the first and second level help desk
expertise or security capabilities.
