Job Description:
Works within a team of highly skilled individuals providing technical expertise to stabilize and advance the IT organization. Participates in the design of IT infrastructure projects/solutions and is a primary resource for the implementation and support of these solutions. Must possess expertise in a broad range of systems, networking, and enterprise storage experience, including the delivery of these services to corporate customers.
• Performs and/or oversees the implementation of IT Infrastructure solutions in a variety of open-server and multi-vendor environments
• Participates in special projects and product development activities as assigned from time to time
• Provides technical support to our customers and support services
• Participates in the end-to-end design/reviews and proposal of custom server and storage solutions
• Participates in self-guided and classroom training to continuously improve technical skills
• Escalates issues through management based on existing processes
• Participates in the Technology Solutions Group development activities
• Develops best practices, templates, methodologies, knowledge management and documentation
• Creates installation and professional service offerings
• Creates installation and professional services statements of work
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities
Experience:
• 5+ years experience with LAN/WAN environments and solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing
• 5+ years experience working with Solid understanding of the Win/Tel server environment
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of standard business software (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel).
• 5+ years experience in support to customers with a focus on implementing complex IT solutions
• Experience with Financial Institution processes preferred
• Mastercard Dex/MIP experience desired
• Must have experience in virtualizing and managing IT infrastructures, utilizing VMware Virtualization and VMware vSphere management tools
• Experience implementing one or more of the following: Dell/Compellent storage subsystems; EMC CLARiiON and CX storage subsystems
• Experience in one or more areas including Brocade, Cisco and McData Fibre-channel switches in SAN environments
• Disaster recovery plan development and execution desirable
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred
