DevOps Engineer (Denver)
As a DevOps Engineer at Beatport you will work on a 5 to 7 member, cross-functional Agile Scrum team (APP, UI, QA, DB, and of course IT specialties) building solutions to address business and technology needs. You will apply your knowledge and expertise configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise Linux systems for a development team on a daily basis. Developers are encouraged to work with teammates to solve complex problems outside of their specialization where appropriate.

Additionally, you will work closely with the Infrastructure Operations and Architecture team to define and implement production solutions necessary for the success of your development team, as well as push your teams code through to the production environment, so a strong knowledge of PHP, Python, Linux, RPM and Zend is required.

You will also take part in planning sessions at the beginning of each 2 week sprint cycle where you will be responsible for planning, tasking, and estimating user stories. At the end of each iteration you will be involved with release demos where your team shares with the company work completed within the iteration. We have a highly collaborative environment where the team works together with their Product Expert and Stakeholders to define product solutions. Everyone has the opportunity to contribute to our products and share the success of releasing valuable features on a regular basis.
Some of the typical job responsibilities include:
Extensive work on Linux systems, specifically RHEL/Fedora based
Support of all IT related functions for a development team
Design and implementation of Infrastructure services (Kerberos/Ldap/SSSO, Nginx/Apache/Lighttpd, MySQL/CouchDB/Solr, GlusterFS/iSCSI, Puppet/Cobbler/Func/Spacewalk, Squid/Varnish, etc.)
Triage and support of issues for products in development
To land this job you'll need to have:
A minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent training
An ability to prioritize and effectively communicate needs for [security, HA layouts, etc.] and diligence to build each across multiple environments
Experience programming in PHP
Experience with SQL and data models
Experience with Linux systems design and development
Working knowledge of Open Source software, communities and workflows
A strong understanding of HTTP caching/acceleration and concepts
A strong understanding of development workflow and methodologies

Aministrator on our Denver based engineering team. Please send a resume

As a Systems Administrator at Beatport you will work on a 4 to 6 member,
cross-functional (SysAdmin, DBA, Network Admin), Agile Scrum team building
solutions to address business and technology needs. You will apply your
knowledge and expertise of high-availability infrastructure design and
implementation (including network design, resource planning, systems
design, IP based load balancing, geo-diverse load balancing, SaaS/IaaS and
virtualization infrastructure) to provide the ability of rapid deployment
of bleeding edge services while maintaining infrastructure stability.

Other than administration time, there is planning time at the start of each
2 week iteration where you will plan, task, and estimate user stories. At
the end of each iteration you will be involved with release demos where
your team shares (with the company) work completed (and marked accepted)
within the iteration.

solution with our Product Experts and Stakeholders so that everyone can
share in the success of releasable value on a regular basis.

Configurationand design of Infrastructure services

Analyze and act on infrastructure/application monitoring and logging to
identify and remedy issues with new and current systems
Configuration and maintenance of Juniper/Foundry based networking
To land this job you'll need to have:
Minimum 3 years experience or equivalent training
Experience with Linux systems design and development
Working knowledge of Open Source software, communities and workflows
Strong understanding of HTTP caching/acceleration and concepts
Working understanding of IP based storage protocols
Experience managing global infrastructure
Infrastructure Programming Experience in python or equivalent
And it will be an added bonus if you've got:
Experience working in an Agile environment and directly with development
teams
Ability to take development requirements and design sustainable
infrastructure
Ability to prioritize and effectively communicate needs for [security,
HAlayouts, etc.] and diligence to build each across multiple environments
Experience managing environmental promotion and change control
Experience with large NAS or SAN deployments
Experience designing/managing private cloud technologies
Experience with OSX, OSX server
Experience and knowledge of IP networks and IP/VLAN security concepts
Experience designing and configuring SE Linux and ip tables rules and
security
Basic MySQL database administration and configuration skills
Experience working in LAMP infrastructure
Experience working in a PCI compliant environment
Experience building and maintaining RPMs/SPECs for custom and forked
software
Experience maintaining custom Linux distributions and software forks
Open Source contributions/development
