Position: NOC Technician
Location: Broomfield, CO
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description
Scope of Project to work on existing network management systems to isolate,
troubleshoot, and clear multiple SONET/DWDM alarms on core transport network
equipment. Technician would be working on legacy layout record systems,
multiple equipment types on multiple platforms in order to clear alarms from
the network and ancillary systems that support the TNOC.
SHIFTS: Possible Day or Swing Shift to be determined at time of project
implementation.
Specific Skills:
SONET/DWDM skills a must as this will be the primary standard that is used
in the Transport Equipment. General Telecommunications theory also needed to
understand sub-SONET architecture.
CANDIDATE ALSO MUST HAVE: OC48, OC192, DWDM
Required Education and Background Experience:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3 to 5 years direct experience on SONET/SDH/DWDM systems.
