Wall Street on Demand, Inc. is seeking a Production Systems Support Engineer.
This position provides support for Wall Street on Demand's Data Acquisition and Document Management systems, which process incoming and outgoing data feeds containing financial information and store that content for searching. Fast paced, quick learning environment where you are working directly on the engineering team who have built and maintain these systems. It is expected that you learn how the data feeds work, and can troubleshoot them efficiently and provide root cause resolution or make recommendations as to resolutions.
Because this position is working with the same tools that the engineering teams have built, you must be comfortable in a basic scripting environment (javascript/perl), as well as be able to perform basic SQL queries on data, and understand how XML works with XSLT. The high standards of this position mean that it is more challenging and demanding than a help desk technician. It is a highly multitasked position requiring patience and poise.
Occasional contact with outside data providers and clients of our company means professionalism and clear communication is incredibly important. Dispatch feed failures to internal systems administrators or systems programmers as necessary.

What you Offer:
Wall Street On Demand is seeking a C# Engineer with junior to advanced level strong object-oriented programming skills who will join our team of software developers to enhance and expand upon our products for the Financial Services industry.
Job duties:
* Design, develop, and support internal and external applications using multiple technologies. Bring a strong Engineering discipline to the problems you face, while maintaining a commitment to deliver quality work in a timely fashion.
Education and Experience:
* Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Skill/Ability:
* C# programming experience, or strong C++ or Java experience
* Strong object-oriented application design skills
* Familiarity with XML parsing and creation
* Some SQL development experience
* Good working knowledge of the core elements of the .NET Framework preferred.
* Familiarity with the construction of ASP.NET using the MVC model is a plus
* Familiarity with SOAP web services would be helpful.
* Familiarity with XSD schemas for XML is a plus
* Familiarity with XSLT syntax for XML transformation is a plus

What You Offer:
We are seeking an application developer with strong knowledge and experience in financial data. Experience with streaming data providers such as RMDS, SunGard, ILX, BATS, and Telekurs is a plus.
This position is full time, onsite in Boulder, Colorado. The candidate must have solid C++ skills, object-oriented programming, multi-threaded systems experience, and knowledge of relational database and experience writing SQL stored procedures a must. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or higher, 2-5 years of professional experience, and a strong interest in financial markets.
