Job Opportunity: Product Manager - Procurement Suite - Louisville

Responsible to manage and drive the product strategy and overall
multi-generation product plans for the company's Procurement Suite
product. Will work cross-functionally between Development, QA, Sales,
Professional Services, and Marketing leading the activities associated
with the development of the product.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
* Manage the product lifecycle from concept initiation to
product launch.
* Solve market problems using distinctive competence and
creativity.
* Monitor and analyze overall product performance, to include
product profitability, actual to planned revenue, customer satisfaction,
and market share.
* Track internal measurements to determine product impact on
company operations.
* Seek out areas with potential impact on product profitability,
to include product life cycle, quality, technical support, marketing
programs, and sales support.
* Determine reason(s) recent product evaluators did or did not
purchase solution.
* Assess the viability of the Procurement portfolio, and how its
components contribute to corporate strategy and distinctive competence.
* Manage the portfolio like a "product", i.e. business case,
positioning, sales process, market requirements, and marketing plan.
* Create product roadmaps illustrating the vision for the
product. Manage Product Requirement documents.
* Describe the idea or stereotypical users that represent the
programming targets.
* Review the release plan with periodic checkpoints of progress
in each of the operational groups.
* Collaborate with both onshore and offshore development teams
to fulfill product roadmap.
Required Skills:
* Strong business, technical and industry knowledge, along with
excellent leadership and analytical skills.
* Business-orientation, with knowledge of the procurement arena
and related disciplines, i.e. sourcing methodologies, E-sourcing, major
market players and competitors, content, and contracting.
* Well-developed collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or combination of
education and related experience.
* Minimum 5 years Product Management experience, preferably with
background in supply chain and/or complex collaboration applications.
* Minimum 5 years professional experience in healthcare industry.
Previous procurement experience within the healthcare industry a plus.
* Proven history of management and leadership experience, leading
dedicated teams in a matrix environment. Well-developed collaboration
skills required.
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to be
self-directed with strong initiative.
* Sound project management skills, with strong organizational
skills.
* Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written).
