SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking an experienced, SQL Developer to join our Business Intelligence, Reporting and Analytics team. You will be involved in the entire software lifecycle helping to finalize specifications, architect designs, code software, write installers and developer reporting and analytics for the internal use within the company. You will have the opportunity to participate in determining the direction of new development and actively share knowledge with other team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Be involved in all aspects of the development life cycle including, architecture, development, testing, training, implementation and support of reporting applications to be used internally by our employees.
Using your creativity to develop design requirements.
Develop back end oracle data marts for Business Intelligence, Reporting and Analytics.
Interface with other teams and departments to develop new and modify existing reporting applications.
Develop front end reporting applications using Oracle APEX.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
2+ years experience with design and development of SQL and/or PL/SQL packages.
Extensive experience writing complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Knowledgeable in performance tuning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to communicate with business managers and end users.
Strong problem solving skills.
Relational database (preferably Oracle 10g) experience.
Telecommunications industry experience a plus.
Oracle APEX experience a plus.
Report development experience a plus.
Possess a strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment, be self motivated, and willing to expand their knowledge on a daily basis.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Limited travel required
Typical office environment with extensive use of office equipment, including PC, fax, copier, phone
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in computer science or computer information systems
Three years directly related professional development experience, including one year of Oracle and minimum of 3 years experience with PL/SQL procedure development or web development experience required
Telephony industry, data modeling, and technical writing experience preferred
